AH, ARE YOU DIGGING ON MY GRAVE

• it is a poem from Thomas Hardy (1840-1928), this is a narrative poem. he narrates and tells a story her wondering about the people who is digging on her grave. 
• the poet begins by tells and asks to the people which is digging on her grave. guessing that it is her loved boy. but then, she answers it by herself if it isn't her loved, he married. she asks again, is it her nearest dearest kin, again she knows it isn't. still asks is it her enemy, considers that it isn't. finally he answers what the women's asking that it is her dog which lives near her grave. and actually the dogs doesn't want to care to her he digs it just want to bury a bone on it. and he has forgotten that it is her grave.
• the poet doesn't mean that the grave here is really the grave which is happened after death. she just want to say that this women is really feel alone. she wonders when she dies one day. is there anybody who will take care of her grave, send to her such a little bit of praying, or just memorize of what she was done. even if her loved, her enemy, her nearest and dearest kin. or there will not be one people memorize us even though her pets. a deep reflection.
• this implication is achieved by means of illustration. the poet gives the reader the choice and the chance to illustrate this narrative poem to their real life. do they illustrate it with the real life in the grave or the real life before the death. 
• this illustration is vividly brought the home by the choice of words which is use personification, in the two lasts stanzas the poet tells the dog like a human who can speak and talk to the women. and the poet does not really use a particular sound to elaborate this poem, it is the narrative poem which is not really focus on the sounds.
